- Since it is a very high altitude (average height over 11,000 ft.) journey with less oxygen, so please consult your Physician and obtain the health certificate and prescribed medicines in order to avoid possible high altitude sickness, specially it is advisable to the Diabetic patients, High B.P. patients, Heart patients and people above 65 years to ask their physician whether they are fit for the yatra?

- It advisable to plan yourself about your requirements during the yatra, as temperature between day and night varying (25 - 05). It is best to wear layer of warm cloths besides the normal clothes. The following items are recommended:

Some Other Informations & tips:

  1. DYM-Nepal is providing sleeping bag and First-Aid kit to every individual but if you need something special, please bring yourself.
  2. We are providing all vegetarian food through out the journey even though it is advisable to bring some supplement food of your own choice like Nuts, Bhujia, Dalmotth, Prickles, Swahilis, Khakhara, Roasted Chiwara etc.
  3. It is an incredible journey where we get to see the world highest mountains and travel on the higest plains in the world. It is also the most difficult pilgrimage in the world as the infrastructure is still very basic in this remote area and in most of the places the group has to stay overnight in camps. The Oxygen level is quite low due to high altitude therefore the yatris should be well equipped. However DYM-Nepal has given special attention on food, health and comfort for its pilgrims, all pilgrims should remember and follow some of these important points:
  • Rest, relax, do not carry heavy load and do not exert.
  • Never proceed with an empty stomach, less talking, take slow and long breath.
  • Walk slowly (1/3 of normal speed) and stop & take rest for a while whenever you feel uncomfortable.
  • Drink plenty of fluid (about 3-5 liter) every day but not alcohol.
  • Avoid smoking, drugs or any other intoxicants.
