INTRODUCTION

Dharma Yatra Mahasangh Nepal was formed in 1997 with view to help and assist religiously inclined people interested to undertake pilgrimage yatra in Nepal and also to Kailash Mansarovar in Tibet via Kathmandu, Nepal. To make the yatra smooth, trouble free and pleasant the DYM-Nepal act as intermediary between the concerned Airlines, Hotels, Transport operators and local Tourist office providing the services.

The yatra to Kailash - Mansarovar from Nepal is easier and more comfortable since entire journey is made by surface transport and Land Rover Jeeps, which can be driven right up to the Holy Mansarover Lake. Sherpas and Cooks accompany each and every group take care of their food and other requirements during the yatra. Moreover there is no need to encounter any mountain terrain. Also, except during “Parikrama” of the Holy Mt. Kailash there is no need for walking / trekking any where during the entire journey. Further, the risk of high altitude sickness is very rare as yatris get more opportunities for acclimatization because of regular break during the journey. It is also believed that before proceeding to Kailash Mansarovar yatra, paying homage to Lord Pashupatinath in Kathmandu has a special significance.

Since 1998 Dharma Yatra Mahasangh Nepal is also organising Kailash Mansarovar yatra with maximum comfort every year in the month of June, July and August. Besides this, the yatra can be arranged on any date convenient to the yatries provided there is a group of at least 16 persons. All formalities like getting visa, camping equipments, food, transportation, accommodation etc. are taken care by the Dharma Yatra Mahasangh Nepal.
