LUMBINI - Same Day return by air
Lumbini is located about 250 km west of Kathmandu and 20 km from Bhairawah, Siddhartha nagar. It is the birth place of the Lord Buddha. The Lord Buddha was born in 623 B.C. There are numerous buildings of religious significance in Lumbini. The most important of which is massive stone pillar erected by the Mauryan Emperior Ashoka in 250 B.C. with the inscription which tells that Buddha was born here. In addition to the Ashoka Pillar, the next visible monuments of Lumbini is the temple of "Maya Devi" the mother of Buddha.
ITINERY: Same Day Air - after the breakfast fly by air to Bhairwah (Siddharthnagar), it takes about 45 minutes - drive to Lumbini by Car - sight seeing - back to Bhaiwah - Lunch and fly back to Kathmandu.
